Jennifer Dancu
K-1 Teacher

Jennifer Dancu is coming into the KJDS with 13 years of experience in education. She graduated from Westminster College, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Elementary Education. She has been certified in the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Tennessee. She taught 3rd grade for 6 years in Henry County, Georgia. During that time, she was also the Grade Level Chairperson and the Language Arts Chairperson. While teaching, Jennifer pursued a Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Supervision & Leadership, from Georgia State University. She was an Assistant Principal in the Henry County Schools for 1 year, before resigning to stay home with her children. In 2003, she decided to go back to work, part time, teaching a college course in the education department, for Lone Star College in Cypress, Texas. She continues to teach this course online.

Jennifer's family relocated to Knoxville in October 2008 to be closer to family. Jennifer's husband, Rob, is a Trust Officer, VP with First Tennessee Bank. Together they have three children: Jordan Alexis – 12, Zachary Michael – 9, and Brooke Elizabeth – 5. They also have two dogs, Shane & Copper, and one turtle, Max!
