Ms. Amie Cottrell
Kindergarten and 1st Grade General Studies Teacher

Amie Cottrell graduated from Carson-Newman College with a major in special education and regular education. She has taught Kindergarten, Pre-School Special Education, and Middle School Language Arts. During her five years of experience in the classroom, both in the Knox County School System, and at Tate’s School of Discovery, Amie has focused on individualizing each child’s program to build on their strengths and foster self-esteem while developing an intrinsic appreciation of education.
