Jenifer A. R. Ohriner
4th and 5th Grades General Studies Teacher

Jenifer Ohriner earned her BA in Liberal Arts from the University of Missouri, and her MA+45 in Philosophy from the University of Connecticut. She has taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in the Knox County School System for 18 years. Jenifer participated in the start-up of the Beaumont Magnet Honors Academy, creating the 5th grade honors curriculum based on an interdisciplinary approach which focuses on learning through literature, primary sources, secondary sources and the arts.
Jenifer has held many leadership positions and received numerous awards in recognition for her accomplishments. Amongst them, she was selected as the 1999 Tennessee Humanities Council Outstanding Teacher of Humanities, the first elementary teacher to earn that award.
